Quality Health Data was founded in 2012 by Lynne Thompson to help Weight Loss Surgery Programs improve quality and achieve accreditation with the American College of Surgeons Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). By recognizing that many hospitals are unprepared to meet the accreditation criteria, Quality Health Data has established itself as a leader in assisting Weight Loss Surgery Programs achieve accreditation and implement best practices all while improving outcomes and ensuring success.
One of the most valuable aspects of the MBSAQIP is the data in the MBSAQIP Data Registry. Participation, by entering data in the registry, is a requirement for accreditation. Quality Health Data provides certified data abstractors currently to over 50 hospitals across the country to ensure that this requirement is met at the highest standard, by experienced data abstractors.
The Quality Health Data Team has performed more than 1,000 onsite surveys and program assessments. This gives them a distinct advantage when evaluating Weight Management Programs.

Lynne Thompson
President and CEO Quality Health Data
Lynne is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Bariatric Nurse. Her background is in Quality and Compliance. She was the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Morton Plant Hospital prior to becoming the Vice President of Quality and Compliance with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Center of Excellence Program from 2005 to 2014. She assisted the ASMBS with the transition of their program to the current MBSAQIP program.
She is the Past-President of the Florida, Puerto Rico, and Caribbean Chapter of ASMBS and is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences on accreditation, quality improvement and metabolic and bariatric surgery program development. Her passion is improving access to care for patients while achieving excellent results.
